Rørvik
We arrived at a beautiful anchorage around four in the morning after having some favourable tides to an absolutely amazing sunrise, the first of many in the following days. We later found out through instagram follower the brief history of the anchorage and area. He had spotted us there and followed us on marine traffic. After some drone practice a a little sleep we headed in Røvik around lunchtime. We fuelled up expecting to be shedding a tear or two at the pump but found it to be around the two euro mark per litre. We left the fuel dock heavy on diesel but light in the pocket and move over to the towns visitor pontoon where we met Alan onboard Kitiija, he is a regular Norway cruiser from London and spends about six months a year cruising different ares. This year he is aiming to spend a long time around lofoten. Alan was the first of the cruisers we met who had planned to go either lofoten or Svalbard although a long time could be spent just cruising the coast and many fjords and islands. We filled up the water tanks and went for dinner in a little Resturaunt overlooking the marina. Fantastic fresh fish and chips and frilly bits! On the list to visit on the return leg!! Again we left in the evening for a long motor northwards at great expense but as usual time was running out before I have to go back for two weeks to work to try earn an honest pound! So we head off to find what was the most beautiful sunsets and sun lit night sky I have ever seen.
